101TOKYO Expanding; seeking new directors

After the success of 101TOKYO Contemporary Art Fair’s Inaugural year, the fair is proud to announce that it will expand in its second appearance. 101TOKYO is seeking a new, larger venue and is looking to invite upwards of 60 exhibitors to attend. In preparation for this, the fair will be looking for new directors to lead the production of the next 101TOKYO. Any qualified professionals with relevant experience are welcomed to contact the fair.

”The response this year from the media, attendees and local Tokyoites was fantastic,” says 101TOKYO producer Julia Barnes. ”We are just happy to offer the already lively Tokyo art scene a fully contemporary internationally oriented platform to present itself to Japanese, Asian and international collectors.”

The fair would sincerely like to thank all the galleries that participated in 101 TOKYO this year. With its strong vision and committed leadership, 101TOKYO is following the inspiration the fair initially took from international events such as Art Basel, Frieze and their satellites to continue to build up a fair worthy of Tokyo.

Best of luck to those in Basel this week — we looking forward to seeing you in Tokyo.
