EXHIBITORS
Nakaochiai Gallery
Tokyo, Japan

Located off the beaten track in a residential area of Tokyo, Nakaochiai shows contemporary art by emerging artists and engages its local community. The gallery was established in 2004 with a vision of creating a global network, The Instant Drawing Machine emerged within the first year; it quickly spread and was presented in seven cities around the world. In 2007, Nakaochiai expanded its platform by curating shows offsite and presenting artists to a wider audience. The gallery supports a handful of artists and works closely with first time and new collectors. Our current programming includes gallery shows, site-specific exhibitions and permanent installations in residential and commercial spaces.
